Ha Tran is a University of California-Berkeley graduate who worked at Microsoft and managed a team in the Sales and Marketing division before having her two sons, Nike and Dunkan. Recently, she was Director of Operations at a company that sells consulting and finance software over the cloud to Fortune 500 companies.
As a youth, when other girls were playing with Barbie Dolls, Ha was playing basketball with the boys. That season, her school had 32 wins which still holds the California JUCO record for most wins in a season. Tran, signed a full scholarship to play Division I basketball at Florida AM but opted to stay in the Bay Area and graduated from the University of California-Berkeley.
While at CAL, she coached middle school basketball and softball and was a Seattle Sonics Youth Basketball Camp coach every summer. While working full time at Microsoft she continued to be a summer basketball camp coach for the Seattle Sonics and eventually became the Seattle Sonics/Storm Camp Director. Ha has coached in various youth leagues, AAU, middle schools and high schools. She loves the game of basketball and is fulfilling her lifelong dream of coming back to her home country and teaching youths her knowledge.
